Failure is Subjective

Failure is Subjective

By Allie Marie

Failure is subjective not objective,

but yet we strive to tell otherwise.

And so it is, here you are again.

You come to prove me weak.

All the words I speak

are faulty to your power and prowess.

You are right upon your commands

and not upon your worth.

Your reminders stay the same

what you built you can break.

You forget what you built

is what I make.

Somewhere I swear

you must have lost your vision.

You break the teams and friendships

you’ve made to try to look a little taller.

In my eyes, you’re even smaller

as you look at us like specks on the ground.

You’re miles away pretending

you know what the hell is going on.

Failure is subjective.

It isn’t us alone.
