Black, White and Gray
By Allie Marie
It all began with the rain
as it melted into pools on pavement
all the black, white, and gray looked the same.
You asked me dear
what it was exactly I desired
as all my thoughts sparked dangerously on wires.
This should be easy.
This should be so grand.
You and I both should understand.
I could not say a word.
All things turned absurd
nothing is so different anymore.
