A Game of Dreams

A Game of Dreams

By Allie Marie

You ask me a question

just to make me fall.

How did this happen?

This isn’t me at all.

The funny blurry visions in my head

are the static on my tongue.

You’ve found a way to use me

in your game you’ve won.

You’ve turned my words into yours

blocked out my dreams with iron doors,

Dreams may never truly sleep,

but you know how to make me betray them.
