Wanting In

Wanting In
By Allie Marie

Why won’t you say it now?
There is a faint line between the lies
and a purposeful deceit.
These little moments
won’t add up.
I thought we were friends,
but these things don’t work one sided.
You leave me out
when I want in.
You say you need me there
then turn your back.
I lean on trust
and somehow that makes me a fool.
I want to believe in good.
Why do you make it so hard on me?
