We are creatures of reflection.
Crystals dazzle imperfections.
We sink slowly into this foggy pool of blue.
Hands that cannot touch reach out to you.
We used to take air for granted.
Our feet to the ground were cemented.
Every molecule had a place.
We knew just how to feel safe.
Your green eyes glow in the dull light.
Promises can’t tell what is right.
You have something that is mine.
Teach me how to capture time.
