Not An Obligation

Not An Obligation

By Allie Marie

My fear is you’ll become another obligation.

Your voice may turn to a muted frustration.

You’ll be another forced mediation.

You’d then be a fear of my own creation.

Excuse me, I want more

than just kicking dust across the floor.

Let’s learn not to disappear

and take the pain and joy with the fear.
