Another Place to Meet
By Allie Marie
Take me somewhere else
where there is nothing to buy or sell.
There’s just two hands and two feet to
sink into freshly rained on grass.
We seem to be lit within
by the sun that kisses our skin.
Now this, well, this
is where I want to meet.
Maybe this will never work.
Greed is a nature that always returns.
Give us though thirty minutes or so.
Just so we can take a turn.
True freedom visits us
in self love and circumstance.
Today let me meet you again
for the first time.
