Chutes and Ladders

Chutes and Ladders

By Allie Marie

I spin myself until

I fall straight into a game of chutes and ladders.

Some would say there is stradegy here.

I don’t know what I’m doing.

I wish I did.

I want to win,

but I shouldn’t care.

One move and winning doesn’t matter,

then it does.

Friends become opponents.

The fallen find another ladder.

The mighty take a fall.

You slide to climb.

There will be a winner,

though we play this game just for fun.
