A Pool

A Pool

By Allie Marie
I don’t want to be the reflection

staring from an empty pool.

I blink at the very thought of you

remiscing at the times we saw ourselves as free.

The leaves barely catch the light

turning weak and breaking.

The sight I thought as beauty is

forsaking me.

Reason hangs above us

dwindling like a lingering breath.

Somethings are made to remember;

others to forget.
