Taking Words

Taking Words

By Allie Mari
I put these words into my end.

I took them like a sneaky shiny apple from a tree.

I should have known you did not abandon me.

Reprocation strikes with silent lightning

then fuels itself with slow thunder rumblings.

I can’t escape the cycle in my mind.

It burrows through as I lose time.

Forgiveness feels foreign to me.

I forgot what I need.
