Somewhere across the lines

we have learned only to trace the words so thin.

Loudness is a childhood trouble
that is unstoppably quick.
We’re trained to stop before reprehension.
We fight nature in blinded contentment.
Sometimes we need to scream into the sky.
It is the only way to find out why.
