Summer’s End

Summer’s End

By Allie Marie

You came to me at summer’s  end.

Your hand in mine,

we played pretend.

We ran across the sand.

We crashed into the shores

never to care where we would land.

But now the leaves are falling,

I lost you to the morning.

Can you hear me calling?
